Transit NXT donation ceremony in the morning of May 12, 2016 at Meeting Room A03.07
At the ceremony, Mr. William A. Meyer – General Director of STAR Vietnam elaborated on Transit NXT benefits: The use of our translation memory system STAR Transit NXT for professional translations is key to the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality. The basic concept is to conduct both new and follow-up translations based on previous translations that have been evaluated and validated. Thus, the translator can truly focus on new content, while the computer takes responsibility for the rest of the work. On the one hand, this reduces the time and costs involved. On the other hand, this increases the quality and consistency of the target-language text”.
Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet – Vice President of HUTECH, expressed thanks to STAR Vietnam for its support to HUTECH students, especially those majoring in English and Japanese translation. He said: “This software is integrated with translation tools suitable for foreign language teaching. With translation memory, this software is very useful to new students, who can benefit from “inheriting” knowledge of students in previous courses. With this in mind, the Faculty of Foreign Languages will directly apply the software in translation training at HUTECH.”
Reportedly, STAR Vietnam Translation and Software Co., Ltd will provide full guidance on usage to lecturers of HUTECH’s Faculty of Foreign Languages in applying this software at HUTECH.
